Reflective film is mainly used in the fields of road traffic signs, safety signs, construction signs, advertising signs, and other signs and signs.
1、 Storage
Reflective film should be stored indoors in a well ventilated, dry environment with a temperature of 18-24 ℃ and a relative humidity of 30-50%. The packaging box should be placed flat on a pallet or pallet and should not be directly placed on the ground; The number of stacking layers shall not exceed 5. After purchasing the reflective film, it is required to be used up within one year.
2、 Trimming
Opening or cutting work environment: The reflective film should be placed in an environment with a temperature of 25 ± 3 ℃ and a relative humidity of 30-50% for more than 24 hours before operation can be carried out. Ensure the cleanliness of the workplace and work tools.
It is recommended that operators wear silk or cotton gloves when cutting reflective film to avoid damaging or contaminating the surface of the film.
The cut reflective film should be placed on a flat and smooth platform, with a platform area larger than the area of the cut reflective film. If not in use temporarily, put on a plastic bag and tie the bag tightly to prevent moisture absorption. Membranes of the same shape and size must be stacked neatly, with a stacking height not exceeding 3cm, and no heavy objects should be pressurized.
Reflective film with a length of more than 3 meters and a large area should be tightly rolled onto a paper tube (with an inner diameter of no less than 100mm), fixed with three adhesive tapes and placed vertically on a plastic bracket to avoid the phenomenon of "tunnel". The opened reflective film should be used up as soon as possible. Unused reflective film should be rolled onto the original paper tube by tightening the edges of the film, and fixed in three or more places with tape. Plastic brackets should be installed at both ends of the paper tube, and plastic bags should be placed back into the original cardboard box. You can also thread an iron rod through the center of the reflective film paper tube and place it horizontally on a dedicated shelf or vertically on a plastic bracket. It is prohibited to throw unused reflective film directly on the ground or lean it against the wall.
3、 Film application method
Substrate selection: It is recommended to stick it on a clean and flat aluminum or stainless steel plate that has been properly processed. It is not recommended to directly stick it to the surface of other substrates such as plastic, rubber, wood, etc. If it is necessary to stick the reflective film on a non aluminum or stainless steel substrate, users should determine the applicability of the reflective film themselves.
Substrate treatment: Newly produced aluminum and stainless steel plates have a very smooth surface, which is not conducive to adhesion. They need to be polished with 400-500 grit sandpaper in a circular arc direction. Before pasting, it is necessary to scrub with degreasing solvent, rinse with clean water, and dry.
